XFX Warranty
Performance wise, this card is basically the same reference card as any other AMD 6970 2gb being sold at this time. The only difference is the double lifetime warranty being offerred by XFX. You can transfer your lifetime warranty to another person that you sold the card to. I personally had great experiences with XFX in the past and have had 2 exchanges through their lifetime warranty. Both times I was able to exchange an almost obsolete card for an upgraded version of a similar card. They given me free upgrades because what they offerred no longer exists and was unable to fix my problematic cards. Resale value of cards with warranty still intact usually commands a higher price.Also, if you get a 6950 2gb version, you can unlock the card with a bios hack. The 6970 and 6950 are virtually the same cards with different memory chips plus 6950 have locked shaders which can be unlockable.

Excellant Upgrade !!!
I upgraded from a XFX ATI 5770 to this and the performance has been significant and worth the price. At first I was hesitant to buy due to the high cost but after careful research and then a price drop from $389 to $359 I stopped hesitating and jumped on it. It fit in my case fine and after running it for a week it has been flawless. Went to the XFX site and registered the card for the double lifetime warranty which gives me peace of mind and confidence in the purchase for the long run. It has handled everything that I have thrown at it easily. Extremely satisfied and will look to buy a XFX Graphic Card again in the future. Finally the free shipping from Amazon and delivery sooner then estimated was the icing on the cake. Well done Amazon !!!

Best warranty and card for the price
Its a lifetime warranty - no other card can say that (that I know of)... most are 2-3 years.Its based on the standard reference card for the 6970 so performance will be the same of all the other cards - except typically xfx gives you added abilities through their software and firmware updates. They are constantly on the cutting edge. Other cards will put their card out there and forget you - not XFX - they cant - not with LIFETIME warranty. Thing about it - a card goes bad 6 years from now - they wont even have that card in stock - they wont fix it - they will send you a close replacement - which will be generations faster. Work this thing til it drops - then get another card from XFX.

Good card decent over clocking and pretty quiet.
I grabbed this at another website came with a good code for dirt 3 a good price and a rebate offer. (still waiting for it but when I go to the site it show it in processing mode I would give this 4.5 stars if I could. The double fan is not that quiet over 35% speed. I watch movies on blu ray and I stream more then I game.I aim at very quiet pc builds that are great for htpc and decent for gaming. This card fits that category. I get a 7.8 for my wei score on this card. It can game on my 1080p sony tv very well,but when you go over 35% on the fan speed you hear the fans. If you game you need to run the fan around 45 to 55 % if you are running high settings. To be honest so far I have found it next to impossible to have a very quiet gaming machine that whales on high setting. Powercolor hd7950 pcs + 3gb is close to it. You can set the fans on it quiet enough and get good FPS on high settings. Of course it is double the price of this...

Great, quiet, fast, but no crossfire cable
I am marking this review down by 1-star, only because this card does not come with a CrossFire Bridge cable. I had to order that separately and have read that they are usually included with AMD/ATI cards, whereas NVidia SLI bridge cables are generally included with your motherboard.Other than that, the card is exactly what I was hoping for, performs great, stays cool and quiet! Also works great in a hackintosh 10.6.8.

Early initial review
First off the box includes driver disc, crossfire bridge, vga adapter and case sticker and two molex to pci-express power adapters. It is a pci-e 2.1 but it will fit in a 2.0 slot which is were I am currently using it in. Installation was a breeze, card is a good size and I have included a picture of the card sitting on a standard sheet of copy paper. I used the HIS website for the most current drivers and was off and running without any problems on windows vista 64bit. The first thing I noticed was how much smoother my gameplay was on bad co. 2 and aliens vs predators on all high settings both being dx11 games I was pleasantly suprised running a resolution of 1920x1080 on 24" dell HD monitor with AA set at 4x and AF on 8 on bad co 2 I was getting frames as high as 108 and during heavy fight scenes 45 but averaging steady frames of 60 and above. Coming from a his 6850 I saw alot of improvement all around, this is the third HIS card I've owned and have yet to be dissapointed by them...

HIS IceQ X Turbo HD6950 - Review
I bought two of these cards to go along with my very first computer build, which also happens to be beast. I decided on these cards for several reasons...-Love the color scheme, I guess it's hit or miss with some people-REALLY! liked the chrome heat-pipes, which I knew would be visible from the case window in the Corsair 650D I was choosing-Originally wanted the IceQ X Turbo X which has a 40mhz higher clock then the already OC'ed IceQ X Turbo but couldn't justify the extra 40-50 for something I could do myself-Smaller than reference 6950 design (big plus for small cases)-2GB of VRAM was a must!Review:After several weeks of usage, I can safely say these cards run quite well. The only thing I can discredit these cards for is the top card runs pretty hot under load. While playing the most graphically intensive game I have, Metro 2033, the top card can hit 85-87c. I have a feeling the reason for this is because the top card sits right on top...

Absolutely amazing
Let me start off by saying: what a card! I was building what was essentially a new computer as my older one I built in 2007 would not be able to handle the game I was looking forward to for a year: Battlefield 3. After doing plenty of research on a video card, I decided to jump on the Radeon 6950 instead of the 6970 for two reasons: 1) a good amount of 6950's (at least when I bought it) were able to have their shaders unlocked to essentially make them a 6970 and, 2) price difference.Needless to say, I could not be happier with this card, which I chose over others for its cooling capabilities with its IceQ technology, which works wonders (more on that later). Nonetheless, once I received my card I became curious to see if the card was able to have its shaders unlocked to equal those of the 6970 (1536 shaders) and to my amazement, and thanks to the website techpowerup, I successfully flashed the BIOS of this card and unlocked the remaining shaders which essentially made...

Wonderful Surprise!
I bought this thinking it was the reference card but it is not. It is a revised model and when I first received it I was bummed because you can only flash the bios' of the reference 6950's. I was going to just send it back but I said what the heck and tried it out anyway. I unlocked the shaders very easily and have the clocks running at 880mhz and 1350mhz. As far as I am concerned this is the best card on the market as of right now. It has the new revised pcb, dual fans for cooling, and dual bios switch. I know for a fact you can unlock the shaders but I didn't try to flash the card to a 6970 and never was going to anyway. From a few reviews I have read some people have problems when they flash to 6970 bios and thats why I just unlocked the shaders and overclocked. This card is tops for bang for your buck hands down.

6950 NON - REFERENCE
As of June 1st the two of these Visontek 6950s I received are the newest rev. No Bios switch and completely non-standard design. One bricked and didnt try to the other without a bios switch, no joy. Good luck still a great card.

HUGE improvement from my previous card (4850 1GB)
I added a second 4850 to my rig but the power consumption and noise increased severely. The next upgrade was clear: Radeon 6950 2GB.Even faster than my previous setup (4850 CF) and it can be modded to Radeon 6970 (more power for free), the 2G memory helps a lot when playing at 1920x1080 even with AntiAliasing and AF. For a card with a blower fan is really quiet. It gets hot but the hot air is always pushed outside the case.This is a product you won't regret buying.PD:Check your case to ensure this cards fits correctly, it is 11 inches long.

ATI does it again
This card is a tremendous value for the price. I replaced crossfired 3870s with one of these Sapphire 6950s and swapped out an aging Intel Q6600 processor with a Q9550 and overclocked the processor to just over 3.5 ghtz. This card has stomped every game I've thrown at it on max settings. My old cards choked on The Witcher with the graphics options turned up. This card plays it and my other games (Dirt 2, etc) maxed. It runs very cool, although my tower has 11 seperate fans (including the GPU, CPU and Power supply fans), in it so there isn't a whole lot of heat to get trapped. I flashed the card with a 6950 shader unlock. I initially did the straight 6970 bios, but switched to a shader unlock since there are a few folks reporting artifacts and likely damage when pushing the card hard with the 6970 bios. I overclocked the card to 880/1375 with Sapphire Trixx and it runs fine, even with no added voltage! Hopefully Sapphire will include voltage control for the 6900 series in...

Outstanding!
I was debating between the latest NVIDIA and AMD GPUs; In the end, decided to purchase this graphics card. I'm a very selective buyer and I must say that extremely happy with my choice. For best performance and value, this is the product you'd want. After thoroughly testing it for over a week, this GPU is outstanding! With some safe overclocking, it can perform on par or surpass its sister 6970. Pair it up with crossfire and you may launch your rig into space (sarcasm). The GPU cools well and the noise level is near silent. Sure AMD engineers are working hard on drivers, but their hardware engineers always stay on top of the game. This is a personal opinion of this product after switching form NVIDIA to AMD, I love them both.
